Weeks Marine Inc., based in Covington, Louisiana, won a $29 million contract to remove and dispose of dredging material in Venice, Louisiana. The project is expected to be finished by April 4, 2025. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is overseeing the project and allocated the funds for this work from the 2024 budget.

Weeks Marine also secured another contract worth $17 million for removing and disposing of shoal material in Morgan City, Louisiana, with a completion date of December 16, 2024.

Bidco Marine Group Inc. from Buffalo, New York, was awarded a $11.8 million contract to repair the Emerald Shiner Passage concrete bulkhead and install new parts. The project, located in Buffalo, is expected to be completed by September 20, 2026.
