Parsons Corporation has been awarded the LTC Hernan G. Pesquera Army Reserve Center Microgrid contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District. The $20 million project, spanning 610 days, will enhance energy resilience and sustainability for the Army Reserve Center in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico.
Parsons will implement critical infrastructure upgrades, including security measures, generators, photovoltaic cells, a Battery Energy Storage System, microgrid controllers, and cabling, creating a robust and efficient energy system.
“Energy is key to critical infrastructure protection,” said Jon Moretta, President of Engineered Systems at Parsons. “Our expertise in energy solutions ensures we deliver reliable, resilient systems that meet the Army’s goals.”
This contract builds on Parsons’ expanding work in Puerto Rico, including its role in the $5 billion Power System Stabilization Project with the USACE Savannah District. This initiative supports the island’s recovery from natural disasters and strengthens its energy infrastructure.
