Polu Kai Services LLC (PKS), through its joint venture PKS-1P JV, LLC, has been awarded a $210 million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Medical Facilities Support Services (MFSS-IIIb) by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Huntsville Engineering & Support Center (CEHNC). The contract focuses on providing operational and maintenance support for medical facilities within the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Facilities Enterprise (FE) outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS).
Under the MFSS-IIIb contract, PKS and its joint venture partners, 1Prospect and Advancia Aeronautics, will deliver a range of project support services. These include facility operations and maintenance, general project support, project development, quantity verification and analysis, commissioning, occupancy support, and system support services. The contract covers medical facilities in multiple locations, including Bahrain, Belgium, Cambodia, England, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guantanamo Bay (Cuba), Honduras, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Peru, the Philippines, Portugal (Lajes, Azores), Singapore, and Thailand.
PKS has previous experience as a prime contract holder under the MFSS I and IIa contracts and was recently awarded the MFSS IIIa contract for work within the continental United States (CONUS). The company will continue supporting the Huntsville Center in its mission to maintain and improve medical facilities for the Department of Defense (DoD).
According to PKS President and Founder Sean P. Jensen, the contract award underscores the company’s longstanding commitment to federal agency support. “This award is truly a testament to our commitment to success throughout DoD and the many federal agencies we have served over the last 20-plus years. We are no strangers to overseas work, and we look forward to expanding our reach, partnering with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and their customers under this new contract vehicle,” Jensen stated.
The contract includes an estimated shared capacity of $98.6 million for the 36-month base ordering period. If all optional ordering periods are exercised, the total estimated shared capacity for the Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) extends to $210 million over 84 months.
PKS and its partners will continue to provide critical infrastructure support to military medical facilities worldwide, contributing to the sustainment and operational efficiency of healthcare services for U.S. military personnel and their families.
